You dream of paradise on earth where you can relax with a cocktail, enjoy the sun, swim in a 84°F turquoise water, and admire surreal scenery worthy of a dream postcard… I think I found the perfect place. Flamingo Beach!
It is located on the tiny Renaissance private island, 10 minutes from Aruba’s coasts by boat and that obviously belongs to the Renaissance Hotel. Only hotel guests can access it, which makes it even more magical and special.
Shuttles transfers run every 15 minutes. Do not worry, it’s never crowded.
The island is divided in two parts (and thus 2 private beaches): On the one side Iguana Beach, with as its name suggests, iguanas roaming everywhere and a bar / restaurant. And on the other side Flamingo Beach, a smaller beach on where half a dozen flamingos are constantly walking around. The first time I got there and saw that, I was speechless!
You can also find an outdoor spa on stilts that stands in the middle of the island, hammocks hang between coconut palms and if you feel the courage, you can even walk in the « wild » part of the island… Follow the path, but beware of mosquitoes!
I also had the chance to witness one of the most gorgeous sunsets ever on Flamingo Beach, something I’m not ready to forget, trust me…
