LA MAR BY GASTON ACURIO AT MANDARIN ORIENTAL

Thanks to reknowned Chef Gaston Acurio, you can experience an authentic and large selection of what Peruvian gastronomy has to offer in the heart of Miami and the beautiful hotel Mandarin Oriental.
The place facing Biscayne Bay and the Miami Skyline offers a stunning contemporary Peruvian-inspired design that makes it clear the food will follow as such: the menu ranges from upscale novo-Andean fare to Asian-Peruvian fusion and traditional seafood ceviche.
You can choose from inside or outside seating and I would strongly advise you to try one of the cocktails at Yaku by La Mar before heading for diner.
I personally had the tasting menu for about 75$ which was simply delicious…. But you should save some place for this special occasion 🙂

LOS FUEGOS BY FRANCIS MALLMANN AT FAENA

This award-winning open-fire restaurant is part of the gorgeous Argentinian Faena Hotel in Miami Beach, famous for its golden mammoth skeleton.

This contemporary asado experience (Spanish word for a range of barbecue techniques) with an open fire kitchen was invented by Francis Mallmann, an Argentinian grillmaster. Using ancient art of South American live-fire cooking, he transforms traditional rustic recipes into sophisticated, savory dishes.

I tried the 95$ tasting menu which was simply gargantuan.

And if you want to go for a romantic night you should think of booking one of the 2 permanent shows of the hotel: The sensual and seductive revue “C’est Rouge!” or the mysterious spectacle “Magique”.

FORTE DEI MARMI

Located on the southern part of Miami Beach at 150 Ocean Drive, Forte dei Marmi welcomes you in a 1938 Mediterranean-revival building recently renovated by a local architect to conjure the beachside culture from the seaside resort Forte dei Marmi in northern Tuscany.
Regarding food you will find local organic products from farm-raised prime meats, to wild-caught seafood and fish prepared by 2 Michelin Stars chef Antonio Mellino and his son Raffaele. The result is a combination between Italian fine dining and slow food culture. Wine pairing is also focused on organic and biodynamic offerings.
The decor is worth the experience may it be for the interiors or the outside terrace, it feels both sophisticated and authentic.
If you want to make your diner experience a perfect one, go for the giant pistachio ice cream for dessert! It’s enough for 4, but hurry, like all ice creams it will melt!
